concern and an above average seal is required to provide adequate gain, 

the firm body / soft canal options are the earmolds of choice.

Apollo, the softer of the two NASA based materials provides a material that softens with body heat making it firm for insertion, but soft for seal. This combination is the most popular when considering the comfort for sensitive ears…and excellent choice when solving multiple fit issues

Softex / Flex was the first soft canal material at Mid-States and it is still the favorite of many. The body softening canal is firm for ease of insertion, and softens for seal and comfort.

Silicone is the softest of the materials available in this type of earmold and unlike those above, silicone remains soft at all times. This can be more difficult for insertion, but comfort is a strong point for silicone.
